It is with great pleasure that we announced yesterday the VBrick Enterprise Media System (VEMS). VEMS allows us to more effectively address the high-end of the Enterprise market space – large Government entities and Fortune 500 customers that are attempting to distribute live and on demand video to a global audience. At the same time we can continue to service our traditional customer base including small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) and educational institutions (both K-12 schools, colleges and universities).
VBrick has been an industry leader and pioneer in media management software, creating the industry’s first enterprise video portal way back in 2003. Over that time, our revenues from Media Management software have been greater than those of all of our competitors combined – even those that focused solely on Media Management! VEMS is a complete rearchitecture which leverages the work that we have done for the past 6 years with our EtherneTV system. Designed in conjunction with our marquee customer – Vodafone – VEMS took more than 18 months of long nights and weekends by our engineering team to complete.
VBrick sees IP Video streaming as a key component of any Unified Communication strategy, and we are leading the market in this direction, in the days to come we will be announcing integration with a major Unified Communications partner – just a first example of many integrated offerings. Our vision, and practice, is to allow organizations who are adopting a Unified Communications platform to access live and on-demand video as well as rich media webinars directly within their Unified Communications software
Moving forward, we plan to further integrate in with the UC clients so that end users can, for example, deliver a webcast directly from their desktop by using a video conferencing plug-in from Polycom or Tandberg to initiate a video call which is then transcoding and streamed by a VBrick network video appliance and delivered Enterprise-wide with our VEMS Presenter webinar software.
VEMS marks the evolution of IP video and video streaming into the Unified Communications arena. Check out the links below to see what the press is saying about VEMS.
